The Duke City Shootout is a pioneer moviemaking festival where movies are shot, edited and presented to a live audience currently in excess of 2,000 people in just 7 riotous days. In addition, there are parties and events which go on during the full week of the festival. Our staff of photographers, under the direction of John Maio, try to cover as many of the happenings as possible and present them here for your enjoyment.

The web galleries contain hundreds of images which are edited and placed on the web for viewing. In 2006, we had more than one million hits from visitors all over the world as the popularity and prestige of the Duke City Shoot has grown. In 2007, we've added this new image server, linked from the main Duke City Shootout website to spread the bandwidth and storage capability. For 2010, we've given the Image Gallery Website a new look. Many of these images have appeared in electronic and printed media, such as Moviemaker Magazine, ABQarts, newspapers and many websites dedicated to moviemaking.

Since the inception of the idea behind the Duke City Shootout, once known as Flicks on 66, Albuquerque and New Mexico has grown into a center of moviemaking, with more productions being filmed here each year, including some Academy Award nominees and winners. Many of the talented technical crew members working on these feature films got "infected" after volunteering to work on these short films. The same holds true for our talented actors, who have also appeared in many "Made in New Mexico" feature films.

This server is owned and maintained by John Maio Photography and is provided as a service to fans of the Shootout for your enjoyment.
