As June came to a close, many of New Mexico's best talent auditioned for roles in the seven movies. Here's an overview of what its like to walk in, register, read a page from a script which was just handed to you minutes before, and act! Congratulations to all who tried, and to the Duke City Shootout auditioning staff.

The 48 Hour Film Festival got off to a great start on July 10, at the "meet and greet" held at Harlow's on Central Avenue in Nob Hill. Teams registered and got to meet each other and the DFI staff in preparation for this exciting event. Here's your chance to peek in!

Many New Mexicans currently working in the state's film industry got their first real taste of what its like to be part of a technical crew by attending the Duke City Shootout's week-long BootCamp. The Albuquerque Little Theater was the venue for the Opening Night Gallery. Even though movie crews were schedules to start shooting at 6AM the next day, a good number showed up for the festivities.
